Enduro FAQ

What is Enduro?

A Quest-themed themed-quest event. Mental and physical puzzles and challenges that involve running around the woods and doing fun stuff. It's super fun.

Will we quest all three days?

No, the questing is Saturday only.

Do I have to be there all three days if I want to quest?

No, the questing is Saturday only. If you can arrive by 9 AM Saturday, you can quest without staying the night.

What will be YOUR role at Enduro on the Nile?

Will you be the archer, delivering your point from afar?
Will you be the fencer, swift with step and steel?
Will you be the acrobat, nimble and flexible?
Will you be the armored fighter, sending your foes to the Duat?
Will you be the bard, answering the riddles of the Sphinx and charming the gods?

CAN I bring a team?

Yes! If you can get a group together, by all means come as a team. If you are short a member, you may get a new friend; if you have too many people and there's a team that's one short, we may ask (but not demand) that someone on your group join the other team.

How do we play?

You and your team follow your guide along the trail, solving problems as you go. It's that simple, really. The funnest games usually are super simple, aren't they…

Is bribery a thing?

Probably. At least between you, your team, and the characters you encounter, for sure. Staff have a pretty rote job, you can't likely bribe them, nor would you really want to.

Can I bring my animal? & Can I bring Alcohol?

Yes! And Yes!

Is Enduro a camping event?

Yes! While the main questing event will only be on Saturday, you are more than welcome to camp Friday and Saturday night! We should even have fire!

What if I want to hang out with friends but I don't want to quest?

No problem, for those not questing it's a normal event. You can hang out, watch the festivities, sit around camp center. We also have something new this year. There will be ancient egyptian board games and a make your own book of the dead station!

What do you mean "Team?"

We'll have teams of questers, five or six people each. Each will have a specific role: Fighter, Fencer, Acrobat, Bard, and Archer. Each of those roles is explained here:

Do I have to bring a team?

No! We'll have lots of people looking for a team! If you don't have a team when you get there, you'll have new friends when you leave!

Can my friends and I be on the same team?

Yes! As mentioned above, you MAY be joined by someone else, or you MAY be asked (but not required) to share a member to a team that is short one, but yes, absolutely.

Will there be prizes?

Oh yes. Everyone participating will probably come away with something cool. We'll have the Prize Table, which will likely include a lot of the props from the day's adventures and a bunch of really keen other stuff. The winning team gets first pick, the next team gets next, etc.

Do you really expect I’m still reading at this point?

You are rewarded with a fun fact:

Did you know there are more planes in the ocean than submarines in the sky?
